VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

AT < ARTE ABIERTO > WE ARE OPENING OUR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

The < Arte Abierto > volunteer program, dedicated to the attention of the public of the exhibitions and activities carried out in Espacio Arte Abierto, opens a call to select two collaborators. It is a unique opportunity for learning and updating through daily work with contemporary art practices and strategies.

ACTIVITIES

• Mediation actions in showrooms.

• Tours and visits for groups from schools, companies, institutions and specific groups.

• Support in the pedagogical mediation activities of < Arte Abierto >.

• Information, recruitment and orientation to the general public.

BENEFITS

• Practical training (educational mediation, museography and communication) in the contemporary art field.

• Free access to exhibitions and < Arte Abierto > activities.

• Remuneration in kind with publications published by < Arte Abierto >.

• 100% scholarships for different courses and workshops with us.

• Certification of participation in the program.

REQUIREMENTS

• Availability: 10 hours a week (Thursday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.), for a period of 6 months.

• Studies: recent graduates or students of the bachelor’s degrees in Art History, Architecture, Arts, Humanities (Philosophy, Letters), Design and Communication.

• Profile: Empathy, enjoy dialogue, oral and written communication skills to communicate with different interlocutors and interest in the meaningful learning processes of the public.

APPLICATIONS SUBMISSION

Send curriculum vitae (one page) and letter of reasons (maximum of 500 words) to info@arteabierto.org subject VOLUNTARIADO ARTE ABIERTO.

Application deadline: October 7, 2021.

RESULTS

The results will be announced on October 21, 2021 and will be final.

Accredited volunteers will be formally integrated into activities starting November 12, 2021.

Espacio Arte Abierto is located on the 2nd floor of ARTZ Pedregal in Mexico City ARTZ Pedregal, Periférico Sur 3720, Jardines del Pedregal, Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City.

Arte Abierto starts its educational mediation and communication program
Due to its pedagogical and participatory lines of work, Atelier Abierto is one of the most important conceptual components of our foundation.
Since 2019 we have been working with Sebastián Romo, founder and creator of Atelier Romo, the result of this significant collaboration is Atelier Abierto.
The main objective of this program is to provide education through the arts under a practical, multidisciplinary, inclusive and excellent model, to as many audiences as possible.
For this, we have assembled and established a group of professionals with a vocation, experience and distinguished career within their disciplinary fields to design a series of activities and workshops that provide substantial content to the Open Atelier program.

POLYHEDRONS WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS

DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this workshop is to bring children closer to art through two workshops based on geometry.

  • Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, starting on May 15 tthrough June 27, 2021.
  • Aimed for children accompanied by mom or dad.
  • Space is limited to 10 children.
  • Atelier Abierto is located on the ground floor of Artz Pedregal.
  • Free entrance.

For this workshop there are two activities:

  1. A simple to cut and paste pre-printed polyhedron stencils, which can be colored or decorated.
  2. The construction of polyhedrons with hemp thread and paper straws.

Blanket workstations will be made.

All material is included.

Arte Abierto inicia su programa de mediación y comunicación educativa

Por sus líneas de trabajo pedagógicas y de orden participativo, Atelier Abierto es uno de los componentes conceptuales más importantes de nuestra fundación.

Desde el 2019 hemos trabajando con Sebastián Romo, fundador y creador de Atelier Romo, el resultado de esta significativa colaboración es Atelier Abierto.

El objetivo principal de este programa es brindar educación a través de las artes bajo un modelo práctico, multidisciplinario, incluyente y con excelencia, a la mayor cantidad de públicos posibles.

Para ello hemos reunido y concretado un grupo de profesionales con vocación, experiencia y distinguida trayectoria dentro de sus campos disciplinares para diseñar una serie de actividades y talleres que doten de contenidos sustanciales al programa Atelier Abierto.

POLIEDROS TALLERES PARA NIÑXS

DESCRIPCIÓN

La finalidad de este taller es acercar a públicos de niñxs al arte por medio de dos talleres basados en la geometría.

  • Sábados y domingos a las 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM y 4:00 PM Del 15 de mayo al 27 de junio, 2021.
  • Dirigido a niños acompañados con papá o mamá.
  • Cupo limitado a 10 niños.
  • En Atelier Abierto ubicado en la PB de Artz Pedregal.
  • Entrada gratuita.

Para este taller hay dos actividades:
a. Una sencilla de cortar y pegar plantillas de poliedros pre impresas, las cuales se pueden colorear o decorar.
b. La construcción de poliedros con hilo de cáñamo y popotes de papel.

Se harán estaciones de trabajo con mantas.

Todo el material está incluido.
