Case Study: Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts

Technology Behind One of Latin America’s Most Advanced Museum Management Systems

The Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts, operated by Mexico’s National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), is one of the country’s most prestigious cultural institutions. As part of an ambitious digital transformation initiative, we designed and developed a comprehensive museum management platform that became one of the most advanced museum intranet systems in Latin America, establishing a new benchmark for technology in cultural institutions.

Our work included the design and development of an enterprise intranet containing more than thirty specialized applications used to manage virtually every operational area of the museum, including security, maintenance, facility management, communications, public relations, exhibitions, publications, production workflows, document management, and internal administrative processes. The platform centralized the museum’s daily operations within a robust, modular, and highly scalable architecture.

Thanks to its flexible design, the system was later deployed in multiple museums across Mexico, Latin America, and the United States, including the Mexican Museum of San Francisco and the National Museum of Art (MUNAL). Its adoption by multiple institutions demonstrated the scalability and long-term value of the platform beyond its original implementation.

This project demonstrates our expertise in designing large-scale enterprise software for government and cultural institutions, combining software engineering, operational process management, and digital innovation to improve the administration of some of the most important museums in the Americas.
